i have automobile insurance with them.and was late on payment for the month of june and they send me a reminder letter the letter was post jul 20 2009 i recevd the letter on the jul 25 2009 i didnt want my insurance to be cancelled so i called in that same day to seen if i can make a payment still when i called in they told me yes because my policy was not cancelled.my policy was in risk of being cancelled.i ask them the amount that was due. they sayed i needed to make a payment of 187.20 before the 29th of jul 2009 so my insurance policy would not get cancelled.

so i send someone in for me to make my payment of 187.25 on jul 27 2009.i have my receipt of payment that i pay they on that day cash.i asked the question i am insured and have coverages they said yes i was insured and had coverage on the same day i called in i was told that my premium was going to be lower after the 29th of jul 2009. also that same day they let me make a change on my policy from have only liability coverage to now haveing full coverage.

on jul 29th i call back in with a coverage question and they look up my policy. because over the phone she gave me the make and model and even the year of my vehicle i ask her if i was insured she said yes.the policy was being questoined for coverage by police that day of jul 29th the time was about 3:00 pm to make sure that i was insured do to my insurance card being expires he was able to find out by make a call that their was evidence of financial responsibility he named state farm. evidence was need that day because one of my vehicle that was insured with state farm insurance company had bein involved in an accident with 3 car and the driver of my vehicle was unlicense.

i ask the questions if i was still go to be covered she said yes she even cheked for me that day to see if he was a person that i listed as one of my driver on my policy.by her look up my policy that day i think if my insurance was cancelled they sould have told me.since jul 29th i have benig call the and i even asked the questions to the claims department if i was going to be cover or not. no one from state farm has told me or send a letter saying my insurance is cancelled.the poeple i talk to can just say that their is a coverage question on my policy.the claims person take care of the claim dont call me back i called her lots of time called state farm back to let them what happen. and seen why she not get back to me.what can i do i need to know if that day i was insure by them or if know cause of the accident they dont want to make coverage.can they did so.

around the beginning of march 2009 we had a couple of big snow storms and i was traveling back and forth from g.a. i hadn't wash my 2003 bmw that i worked hard for in two weeks due to weather. when i did i found that someone had tried to break in at the top of each door and later finding that they had stuck something through the door and was trying to hit the door unlock on the dash board damaging the dash.

i called state farm and they read off some of there shops on there list. i picked earl tindol body shop who had said my car would be done in a few days. i dropped it off wed morning 10am. i then dropped by friday at 4pm finding out they hadn't started yet but it would be ready tuesday. ten days and 4 trips later they said the car was done. i was happy for hot second from a distance till i got closer and found paint on the new moldings screws and grommets missing, air bag and service lights on, body work scratches obviously under the paint dried up rough, clear paint and primer lines all across the inside of the top of the door jams etc.

i called up state farm and told them the situation and they said it was ok for me to take the car out of that shop to the dealer as i requested. the dealer fixed the service lights and the state farm adjuster d. dunaway came and offered a hendricks body shop on south blvd that he said was new and did good work.

after another 10-15 days 4 visits and two adjusters that wouldn't return my calls when i would ask them why each time i would go get my car there would be at least 7-10 things wrong with the work such as airbag lights on, primer lines form where they tapped off moldings improperly installed, burned paint from over buffing, extra screws on the floor, sanded paint on the bumper when the bumper wasn't painted, buffing cream embedded in seat belts, doors and the entire interior windows not rolling up etc.

i called back and forth from the claims center in virginia and they kept giving me the same adjuster (dean) his manager b. nickens or i. adams. they even lied and told me i was speaking to a manager when i ask for one. i took the car out of shop after manager refused to do any more work on the car and told state farm i wanted to take it to a shop in pennsylvania where i was going to be for 2 weeks and they denied and told me i had to go back to hendricks. i agreed and it went there again for 10 days and it wasn't fixed properly again. they keep making the car worse to the point that i lets some damage slide by but they mess up something else. a 2900.00 repair turned into me loosing a temp job due to having to return rental cars not being able to get to raleigh n.c. where i stayed for the week to work.

My vehicle was damaged by another driver having State Farm Insurance as his provider. At first all was going along well and vehicle was repaired and returned to me in near perfect condition. Then, 3 weeks later, I get a call telling me that my car is totaled and needs to be signed over to State Farm to be scrapped. This is my main transportation and only vehicle that my family will fit in (6). I tried to negotiate with them, but they would not communicate and had no intentions working something out.

I have now been driving the car to work everyday without problems for the last 2 months. They are now harrassing me to sign the paperwork to release the title to them. I did not have gap insurance and now I will be stuck paying for a car I do not own.

My car was broken into and all of my electronics were stolen which included: 2 tvs, dvd player, subwoofer, and a amplifier which are covered by State Farm. I reported the claim to them because I had exterior and interior damages. When I reported my claim I was told that everything is covered and I will receive a check in the mail, after the claims adjuster inspects the car.

After the claims adjuster came out and did what he needed to do. I waited a couple of days before I called to check the status of my claim. And at that time I was told that I would only receive a check for the exterior damage. And that State Farm uses a electronic replacement company that will send out replacements for my car. I explained to them that I purchased these items over 4 years ago and I can't find the receipts. They told me that it doesn't matter because they are going to send me what they think I had.

I know what that means. They are going to send me some cheap electronics in order to save them money. I don't think that is fair because I want to pick what I want in my car. And I don't mind paying the difference because I want to be happy with what's in my car. I'm stuck with this stuff not them. I should be able to take my car where I want to take it. And have to go to a State Farm certified shop. I have a place where I go and they work with me to get me what I want. If something needs to be fixed they do it at no charge. If I go where State Farm wants me to go I have to go thru State Farm to get items fixed.

I shouldn't have to be stuck with what they want me to have. When I pay my premium I don't pay them what I think they should get. I pay my in full premium and on time this is my first claim. I can only imagine what will happen if I'm ever in a accident. I am getting the run around when it's time for State Farm to take care of their customer. That's not what a good neighbor should do.

We have decided to obtain insurance from another carrier. This includes our Auto policies, and our Home Owners policy. This decision was based on several factors. First, we were surprised how soon [State Farm] sent out a Cancellation Notice, only after 2 months which seemed to indicate that we had not disclosed an incident that occurred last year to our daughters car, like road hazard doesn't ever happen to anyone? Not to mention the fact, that this was disclosed to our agent here in Albuquerque, before I bought off on policy, which by the way, we were only getting coverage for ourselves, and not our daughter, since she and her husband now have their own policy.

Also, both of our credit has been immaculate for over 35 years, as well as our 35+ years of driving records. So my conclusion is [their] company does not deserve good drivers. I hope that [they] continue to drop the good drivers, like us, so that all you are left with are those other kind of drivers that you so much deserve, and will help businesses like yours, on their way out of business.

The other factors for our decision was that since I did not hear any other status from our State Farm Agents here in Albuquerque since 2 weeks ago as to whether we were going to be covered or not, we assumed we had NO coverage as of cancellation notice for May 27th, which by the way, was right in the middle of our vacation, and only allowed us less than 1 week to find another insurance carrier. That made us feel [worse] during our vacation, as we were trekking around the country, not knowing if we had coverage or not. The only good thing is that it didn't take us long to figure out how STATE FARM really is to their customers. I will be posting a copy of this letter on the internet, to let everyone know what a really good neighbor STATE FARM is. State Farm should drop its like a good neighbor slogan, as if this is the way good neighbors really are then I will have no part of [their] kind of friendship or any part of [their] business.

On May 18, 2009 my vehicle was taken to Kendall Collision (a recommendation from statefarm) to get fixed. Kendall Collision and Statefarm agents told me that it would take 24 to 72 hrs for an estimate to be completed. After various phone calls to both parties they finally finished the estimate after 14 days! My rental expires in 21 days after May 18, 2009. Now this weekend I have to turn my vehicle in and Kendall Collision has informed me that they have not started because they are waiting for all the parts to come in before they can tell me when my vehicle will be ready. I work as a traveling therapist also and I have no way to get around if I do not have a vehicle. If I do not have a vehicle I cannot work, I will not get paid! After this weekend, since StateFarm and Kendall Collision have not completed the estimate within the 72 hr period I will loose my wages as a physical therapist assistant. It took them 14 days to finish the estimate and decide that day to approve my vehicle getting fixed. I make over 1,500 gros

  1. Nice post. I have already made a policy for my car and now searching for a home policy. Can I still get a benefit if I buy policy from the same carrier with whom I have made my car policy ?
